The Grand Canyon Revisited (2005)

During our vacation in 2005 my family and I made a return trip to the Grand Canyon to take in the beautiful scenery it had to offer.  This was the first time Matthew has ever seen the canyon and it had been quite a few years since my wife had been here.  Below is another batch of photos from our visit.

Grand Canyon 2001

I had the opportunity to go to the Grand Canyon while visiting my parents in Phoenix and of course I happen to have brought a camera with me.  Since I have a camera and the know-how to use it, I decided to take some pictures.  So below are a bunch of pictures from the south rim that I took in July of 2001.  These pictures are not modified in any way, all of the colors and imperfections were put there on purpose.

My friend Jeff joined me at the canyon on my first day.  When we arrived it was only 60 degrees and a bit rainy.  But it did seem to warm up a bit after an hour or two.  In fact there was so much rain I had to hold this tree up as shown in the picture above or the whole south rim of the canyon would have gave way.  On my second day at the canyon I found my niece Julie sitting in one of the trees there.  I don't know how she got there but I thought I would take a picture anyway.
